The Africa Impact Academy (AIA) is a program committed to equip entrepreneurs with essential skills, training, and resources to support them realize their potential, grow and overcome challenges. Our goal is to empower entrepreneurs to transform their ideas into thriving businesses, driving meaningful economic growth and sustainable development across the continent.
Consultancy Overview
As we prepare for the project rollout, we are seeking a skilled videographer to produce a compelling video that effectively communicates all the essential details about the Africa Impact Academy (AIA) program. The video will serve as a key tool in Africa Impact Academy communication and advocacy agenda, by showcasing the program’s value, objectives, and the opportunities it offers for growth and innovation.
Specifically the video package seeks to:
- Increase awareness and understanding of the African Impact academy across stakeholder groups.
- Provide clear, concise, relevant and compelling messages through a format that galvanizes target groups to desired action.
Scope of work
The video creator will be responsible for the following:
- Scriptwriting: Collaborate with the AIA team to develop a clear and engaging script that captures the program’s objectives, benefits, and impact.
- Videography: Film high-quality footage that highlights the AIA program’s value.
- Video Editing: Edit the footage to produce a polished, professional video that aligns with the AIA’s branding and messaging.
- Quality Assurance and delivery: Ensure the final video is of the highest quality, suitable for use across multiple platforms, including social media, website and presentations.

Qualifications and Experience
- Exceptional Videography and Video editing skills.
- At least three years of experience in videography/ video editing
- Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for storytelling.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in an independent working environment.
Technical proposal
Interested individuals will submit a Technical and Financial Proposal, with description of their experience, as well as a portfolio of previous works.
The Technical Proposal should include, but not be limited to, the following;
- CV highlighting relevant experience and skills in videography and editing,
- Portfolio/ showreel or samples of previous work.
- Demonstrated experience in videography on social issues;
- Production capabilities: quality video production, including related hardware and editing software.
Financial Proposal
The financial proposal shall specify an all-inclusive fee per video product, which should include filming charges, transportation expenses, post production, as well as crediting, subtitling and voiceover. The Financial Proposal should be in local currency (Kenya Shillings).
The final selection will be based on the principle of “best value for money” i.e. achieving desired outcome at lowest possible fee.
Evaluation Process and Method
Each proposal will be first assessed on its technical merits. A maximum of 70 points is allocated to the technical proposal, and a further 30 points for the price component, with a maximum possible score of 100 points. Technical proposals will be evaluated based on a desk review. Mofund evaluators will read technical proposals and assess the quality of portfolios and submitted profiles.
