Africa Impact Academy
Ten months that make an organisation fundable
The Africa Impact Academy is MoFund Africa's ten-month programme for African-founded organisations addressing problems in their own communities. We identify them, prepare them, verify how they operate, and position them for capital.
How it works
What happens over ten months
-
Selection
An independent panel of reviewers scores every application against a published rubric, and a verification visit tests the application in person.
-
Onboarding
You set a growth strategy and record baseline data in SikaIQ at an in-person country onboarding in January.
-
Coaching and curriculum
Two live sessions a month, one coaching visit a month at your premises, and curriculum work on the platform between sessions.
-
Intern placement
MoFund sources, contracts and pays an intern from a partner university to implement the growth strategy you set.
-
Mid-point review
The second in-person session, in May, reviews delivery against the commitments you made at onboarding.
-
Pitch and graduation
Every organisation presents to investors and industry participants, with its coach alongside, before graduating in November.
Is it for you?
