Production of an Animated Explainer Video
Background
MoFund Africa prepares African led social enterprises and non profits for funding and connects them to the capital they need to grow. We work through three arms, being the Africa Impact Academy, which is a ten month capacity building programme, the Africa Bridgeworks Fund, which deploys catalytic grants to Academy graduates and SikaIQ, which is the platform that holds performance and impact data collected from the field.
We would like to engage a video production supplier to script, produce and deliver a two minute animated explainer video with voiceover (using existing MoFund Africa footage where relevant.) The purpose of the video is to tell a first time visitor what MoFund Africa does, how our three arms work together and the value our work creates for the enterprises we support. The video will sit on the homepage and be reused across social media and partner presentations.
Objectives of the assignment
To produce a two minute animated explainer video that communicates what MoFund Africa does in language that’s easy to understand.
To explain the three arms and the sequence they follow, being who to fund, how to fund and what the funding produced.
To deliver the video in formats ready for use on the new website and across social channels.
Scope of Work
Scripting and Storyboarding
Develop a script for a two minute video, based on a brief and summary of MoFund Africa's work provided by MoFund Africa.
Produce a script and storyboard for approval before full animation begins.
Animation and Production
Produce the animation in line with MoFund Africa's brand guidelines, including the logo, colour palette and typeface, which will be shared on appointment.
Incorporate selected footage from the MoFund Africa documentary produced in 2025, which will be supplied by MoFund Africa.
Reflect the style and pace of a reference video that will be shared upon request by MoFund Africa.
Voiceover and Sound
Source and record a professional voiceover in English.
Provide licensed background music and sound design, with confirmation in writing that all audio is cleared for commercial and online use.
Provide subtitles, either embedded in the video or as separate files
Delivery and Handover
Deliver the final video in a web optimised format suitable for embedding on the website, at 1920 by 1080 resolution.
Deliver a format suitable for social media use.
Hand over the project files, including the script, storyboard and voiceover audio, with full usage rights assigned to MoFund Africa.

Applicant Profile
Demonstrated experience producing animated explainer videos, with a portfolio of comparable work.
Experience with nonprofit, development or impact sector clients.
Proven ability to work with mixed media, combining original animation with live action footage.
In house or reliable access to scriptwriting, voiceover and sound capability.

Location: Remote; with all review and approval conducted online
